Skinny in USAThe Lorna Diaries

SXSW – The End

By March 22, 2012No Comments

So, SXSW has finished and us skinnies have all fled Berkman House. We had a grand old week and feel satisfied that we made the most of our time there. We played over a dozen gigs (including busking) and one of those involved a paid gig of two hours on the main stretch, we did lots of interviews and most importantly made friends with lots of new people. What more can you ask? And to top it off we recorded some songs in the house we stayed at and various strangers houses too. Great!

Dave Dale and Lorna in Berkman House

All that’s left to say is a massive thanks to Dave Dale, our incredible host who ran us around in the best Ford pickup truck we’ve ever had the pleasure to ride in, and put us up/put up with us, in his most marvellous home where we stayed/slept/recovered in between shows. Special thanks also goes out to the legendary Captain Jupp who helped us through all the trials and tribulations of a week in Austin, Texas. Thanks guys, we couldn’t have done it without you.
