Saturday night and Sunday afternoon

Hats off to Summer Jam for providing a riotous and ridiculously drunken Saturday night. We reckon the scenes in the acoustic tent when we went on were amongst the most raucous yet witnessed by the band all summer.

Whoever lifted my mostly full bottle of vodka and ginger ale after or possibly during the 32nd verse of Barrett’s Privateers at the after gig shanty session, we will hunt you down next year and pat you on the back for a job perfectly executed. Skilled burglary.

Sunday morning was a little difficult to navigate but we were helped by the fact we woke up in an old converted watermill surrounded by amazing countryside, rivers and forests. Some pics below and at the usual. Thanks to our wonderful hosts for having us and feeding us Staffordshire oat cakes and bacon sandwiches for breakfast.

After filling our faces it was back in the car and off to London for a gig at The Lock Tavern, Camden for Sunday Best’s summer do. Jaded but determined to deliver, we got on stage and hurled ourselves into the set and the audience were soon forming arches and jumping about like crazies which is exactly the sort of thing we like to see. A sterling performance all round.
