More German adventures!!

Skinnies are back in Germany for a week and very excited to be so!

Already we’ve kicked off the tour with a magical weekend at Orange Blossom Festival east of Dortmund. As we landed into the airport after 2 hours sleep the heavens opened and the rain fell. An outdoor festival in this does not sound fun but as we drive through the luscious green and yellow countryside the rain stops and the sun comes out. The festival is set in the cosy yard of Glitterhouse Records. Immediately we meet with the guys from Rockpalast TV to do a few runs through ‘Trawlerman’. A crowd gathers and its very exciting to be here.

The main stage show is great fun and then we are asked to play a smaller stage later on.

All very fun. The rest of the evening involves drinking free beer and eating warm food. Nice. It’s all rather muddy though and my shoes paid the price!

The next day is a rare day off for us Skinnies…we lay in till late, ate a generous breakfast and then headed to the festival for more fun. Free absinthe drinks, more beer and food and then we’re very merry, merging faces and telling old tales.

Thanks for having us Orange Blossom! We had a great time and laughed with lots of great people – particularly Heike and the fellas from The Fabulous Penetrators!

Stuttgart is next on the agenda. A place we have played before…
